Kindle, Paperback...well why not both!

So I'll admit that I've been so focused on getting The Hunter finished that I haven't really checked into my Amazon KDP account in awhile. I decided today to check it out and see if I needed to update anything over there before I upload the final copy once I've finished with all the revisions. Well I had a surprise waiting for me today. You can now publish both for Kindle and for Paperback through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. Which is really super awesome.

Now I haven't checked out all the details yet, but it looks like I'll be able to sell paperback copies on Amazon, which is awesome! One of the big drawbacks of self-publishing is the cost that comes with it, which is why I decided to go with Amazon. They take a small percentage, and I get to keep the majority of the profit. Which works out great, however if you decide that you want to do a physical book, cost goes up by quite a bit. Because you have to find a print on demand publisher, you have to format the book, and then you have to pay for X number of books upfront, which can get expensive.

However with Amazon KDP, you get a Free ISBN, although you have to be exclusive to Amazon, you get to keep 60% of the profit, minus printing costs. Overall it's an awesome way to get your book into print. Not just an ebook, but an ebook and a physical book people can buy on Amazon. This allows you to with very little risk, to diversify your release channels at least a little bit.

So anyways I just wanted to let you all know that I will be putting out in Paperback on Amazon!
