Here's What I'm Reading This Week 11/26-12/2/2017

So it's another week of great books this week. I'm really starting to explore some of the more metaphysical aspects of things this week and it will be an interesting week for me. So before we get started this week I'd again like to say that I don't make any money off of any of the suggestions that I'll be making here. This post isn't about creating revenue, it's about sharing what I'm reading and hopefully get a discussion started about those books.

I really enjoy reading books that help me to see the world a bit differently, or maybe help me to better cope with the daily stresses we all have to deal well regularly. With that in mind here is my first book for this week.

Mindfulness for Beginners by Michael Williams

I mentioned this author last week and this week I'm featuring this book because I started to read it last week but according to my kindle I've only gotten 12% into it. However it has been a good read so far and I'm learning a lot from it. I'll be feature another book from Mr. Williams next week as well. I only just started so I don't have a good feel for it yet.

Mindfulness is such an important skill and I wish they taught it in schools. It forces us to slow down and to be in the moment instead of focusing on the next thing we have to do. As I mentioned I haven't gotten that far into this book but I know it will be one I'll be referring to all the time.

Nail Your Novel by Roz Morris
I'll be starting this book this week. I haven't read any of it yet. But it does seem like it could be helpful for writing and I'm always up for learning more about my craft. I've read so many books about writing and all of them have helped me better my writing and learn my process and become a better writer. I'm hopeful that this one will be one that well help me advance my skills as a writer.

This book is part of a series of books. There are about 4 books in this series and I have two of them. As I've said before I tend to have a wide range of books I'm reading at any one time. I tend to read before I go to bed, or when I'm waiting for someone. It's one of the reason I love my Kindle Fire so much because it allows me to have a huge library at my fingertips.

Building Twitter Community by Jamie O'Leary
I'm always trying to learn more about how to build my following and how to get the word out about my blog post, book I've published, and other content. So I picked this one up last week and started to ready it. My Kindle tells me I'm only 10% into it so I still have quite bit to read. However I am getting quite a bit out of it. So I am looking forward to reading more and learning more about how to build my Twitter Community.

I've been using twitter for fun since 2007, but as it grew I knew I would have to figure out how to use it for promoting my blog posts. So I'm always trying to learn more about how to use it effectively and grow my following on there. Speaking of which, If you aren't following me on Twitter please consider doing so. I also have accounts for TransPunzel and The Lisa Goodwin Series. As well as Accounts for The Skypilot Project, and a new project I'm working on called UnionizeIdaho which is a grassroots project I'm working on to help get Idaho In Home Care Providers unionized.

Invasion (Alien Invasion Book 1) by Johnny B. Truant and Sean Platt
This is a book I got back in July of this year and just never got around to reading it. I'm going to start this week. It looks really neat and like it would be an awesome read for those of us that enjoy Sci-Fi books.

Here is a small description of it. "The discovery of objects approaching from Jupiter orbit sets humanity on edge, sending cities into panic. Most is unknown, but thanks to the popular Astral space app, everyone knows the few facts the government has tried to hide:"

So as you can see it looks like it will be one of those books that you pick up and don't put down until 1 am. I'm looking forward to reading this one.

There you have it. 4 Books for you to check out and if you want add to your kindle library. Again I hope you are enjoying this new blog series. I will be publishing new posts every Monday. So I hope you'll keep coming back for more great book suggestions.
